Download and Install the Office 2007 - "MATH Add-In" Here...

Overview: The Microsoft Math Add-in adds computational and graphing capabilities to the Equation Tools Ribbon of Word 2007.

With the Microsoft Math Add-in for Word 2007, you can:

  • Plot a function, equation, or inequality in 2-D or 3-D
  • Solve an equation or inequality
  • Calculate a numerical result
  • Simplify an algebraic expression

To install the Math Add-in for Word 2007:

  1. Download the file by clicking the Download button from the link above and saving the file to your local computer's desktop.
  2. Double-click the officemath.msi program file on your desktop to start the Setup program.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
Instructions for use:
  • You can access the Microsoft Math tool through the Add-in Ribbon or the Equation Tools Ribbon.

To install this download:

  1. Ensure your system is up to date by installing all High-Priority/Required updates on Microsoft Update (required for Microsoft Office XP and 2003 users).
  2. After installing all High-Priority/Required updates with Microsoft Update, download the Compatibility Pack by clicking the Download button (above) and saving the file to your Desktop.
  3. Double-click the FileFormatConverters.exe program file on your Desktop to start the setup program.

Who Is It?

What is the ODS plan for transitioning to MS Office 2007?

The transition to MS Office 2007 in ODS has begun. The IRC and ECstaff will be trained by the end of August. Key individuals at all secondary buildings are also being trained in August. These individuals will help train all secondary staff, with the help of the Technology and T&L members by the first part of 2nd semeester. All secondary computers will then move to MS Office 2007. Elementary CLAs will then be trained and subsequently will train all elementary staff, with assistance from the Technology Department and T&L. By the end of the 2008-2009 school year, all computers in the district will be using MS Office 2007.
