Teachers are encouraged to maintain a class/course website to provide additional means for communication for students and parents. Secondary level teachers may choose to create a Blackboard course website, a Moodle course website, or a WordPress website. Elementary teachers may choose to create a Moodle course website or a WordPress website. WordPress allows you to edit and post information both at work and from home. The WordPress websites use a web-based editor, thus anywhere you have an Internet connection, you can edit your course website. WordPress websites are viewable by students AND parents. Blackboard and Moodle course websites are viewable by students only. See links above for specific materials and tutorials on each type of site. Additionally, talk with your IRT for suggestions before beginning a class/course website.
Note: Teachers who have prior websites created in Dreamweaver will be allowed to keep them at present.
There will be No new Dreamweaver website accounts created.
